Building Skills Path

In the Getting Started Learning Path, you familiarized yourself with basic Heap concepts, core features and functionalities, and wrapped by learning how to ask some basic business questions using Heap.  In the Building Skills path, you’ll level up your knowledge and skills, so you can ask begin to ask more specific, complex questions of your data.

This learning path starts with an optional, conceptual course that introduces Heap’s Product Management Flywheel. This product management framework explains how data-driven digital experience teams, like our own, use an iterative cycle product development cycle that draws on Heap data insights at every step.  While this course is optional, it will help you better understand how to strategically incorporate the Heap platform and it’s insights into your business.

After the strategic, you’ll get into more practical, tactical use of Heap. You’ll begin by exploring the types of data inputs available in Heap and how you can use them to customize your charts for insights specific to your business. 

Once you have the basics of data inputs down, you’ll learn how to create and interpret several different Heap Dashboard Templates. These powerful Heap tools require you to provide just a few data inputs to generate useful, dynamic dashboards that enable you to measure and track important business metrics and KPIs.
